Anyway, I’m dissapointed. She circled towards Cyborgs right the whole time and her cardio was crap. Wtf were they training her to do the entire time? She had Cyborg on her back twice and didn’t even attempt a sub and let Cyborg back up once when she was doing well on her feet beforehand.. She needs a new camp. One that knows how to build cardio. Their plan they said was to taker Cyborg to the later rounds where she usually gets tired but how’d they expect to do that when Gina’s cardio was way weaker than Cyborgs? Sad fight. And her front kicks looked as weak as they did in her previous fights which I knew wasn’t going to work against Cyborg. She’s a fucking brute. I hope she gets a new camp and shows up to the next fight.

The reason she got off mount is because she didn’t want to get caught in another heel hook, infact I wonder if she was injured at all from that heel hook, because it was pretty deep. I was pretty sure Cyborg would win, and I was amazed to see most of the so called “professionals” picking Gina to win. Gina is a good fighter, and I can’t take anything away from her, but she would have been better off being a ring girl that night lol.
Gina needs to be a ring girl???? What? She wasn’t THAT bad! I thought she was doing good at first, but Cyborg is just stronger and was a lot more aggressive. I do think she might have gotten caught up in the hype of the fight though. And about her coming to the weigh-ins dressed LIKE A GIRL, thats because she IS a girl. Do you want her to be all macho all the time??? No.
She will come back, but she needs a lot more to beat Cyborg.
Cyborg is a monster, no doubt. Gina clearly hasn’t fought anyone this tough before. Gina didn’t do her homework because if she did, she would’ve gained some ground skills. I would have more respect for Gina if she would’ve stood her ground and fought the fight instead of trying to protect her pretty face. you’re a fighter, fight damnit!

I agree with some of you guys. I don’t think Gina is a fraud or “just a pretty face” at all. It’s just that Cyborg is that much better, and proved it last night. Even if Gina had survived that round, it would have been more of the same in Round 2. Gina pushed herself too hard too early with her cardio the way it was, and Cyborg walked right through every one of Gina’s punches.
Cyborg is definitely one of the baddest bitches on the planet…the question now is, with Carano supposedly being Cyborg’s “top competition”, who’s left? Are we looking at the Brock Lesnar of women’s MMA?
I’ve seen some japanese female MMA fighters that could take a good amount of punishment and are good BJJ fighters so there’s good comp’ for Cyborg if Strikeforce can get those fighters.
Okay, it’s time to be completely honest here. For these to be two of the top-level female mixed martial artists in the world, it validates Dana White’s lack of interest in showcasing their “talents” in the UFC. Outside of two rudimentary hip escapes by Santos, this fight was devoid of anything more than novice-level striking and cat fight grappling. Don’t even get me started on the people who are CONVINCED a 5′8″, 160 lb Cyborg (probably with bigger nuts than half of the guys posting in this thread) could beat a comparably-sized man…

Once when she had full mount of Cyborg she could’ve kept going but she got up!? WTF! That just goes to show that Gina needs more ground training if she ever wants a rematch with Cyborg. On her feet she did better but Cyborg was way too fast for her. Forget all the other crap she trained in, that’s when her street fighting skills needed to come in!

Cyborg is lucky that China from WWE isnt in the ring cuz she would put on a clinic. China is the true champion. These women don’t know what it is to go toe to toe with a REAL fighter.
