Exactly what I expected in this fight, Jon Jones is the future of the division and will only make a very deep division deeper. I can't wait for his next fight, I'm sure it'll be a name fighter, I wouldn't be surprised if it was against Rich Franklin. That would be a huge jump, but I think he's ready after handling Hamil like he did.
Yeah total domination from Jones and made Hammil look like a newb. Fanklin, does he deserve to fight again? Just like Tito and Lidell, Franklin is a has-been and is just another stepping stone for younger, better fighters. Hell everyone needs a paycheck though right?
i feel sooo bad for matt, he looked really nervous and couldnt use his wrestling background to the fullest. he got manhandled, i really wanted him to win. jones is gonna be around for a long long time.
why does anyone rate rich 'the douche' franklin? he sucks! he's completely irrelevant, has no charisma, power or skill. he has to keep trying to fight at catch weight so that nobody questions what he's doing getting any air time in 205. Sorry to say guys but bones jones would rip franklin from the moment the bell goes. I like Hamil, and it was sad to see him doing a sean penn impression in 'I am Sam' at the end there. the guy was clearly beat up, and pulling your shoudler is such a bad injury, it really makes you feel crippled. i.e. he won't be able to lift his toothbrush for a few days. i've just recovered from one, not from fighting, but from makin love to a really huge chick. that alcohol is a powerful drug kids.
Jon Jones did about 85 unanswered shots while he mounted Hamill. Around 90 is where he started throwing the illegal elbows. Mazzagaitti is the worst ref i've ever seen. Fight should have been stopped.
I agree completely, Jon Jones is a very good fighter. I also agree that he is ready to fight Rich Franklin, it would be a great fight for both men,and for the fans.
I counted 86 shots thrown by Jones before he threw those elbows… Considering the fact that Hamill was unable to continue from a broken shoulder and god only knows what else, this DQ Loss was complete BS!

Jones looked amazing too bad for the elbows at the end. I agree it should have been stopped before that. If a ref has to stop the Kimbo – Big Country fight for those unanswered slaps, this definatly needs to be stopped. ended up with Hamil getting beat down badly. Jones needs to be challeged next fight.

Yeah, Franklin would be a great matchup. He's a big name and a top 10 guy that could really test Jones' skills.

Agreed. Matt Hamil is a great guy. It was hard to see him beat up like that. Jones is a beast though. Kudos to his domination.
