It is a shame that the UFC was offering that clown Bisping a title shot, IF he could OUTpoint Dan Henderson. I say outpoint because that woudl be the only way he would of ever won.

Nate Marquardt finshed and dominated 3 TOP fighters in his past 3 fights. ALL highlight reel finishes…….TITLE shot????? NOPE.

It is a shame what an easy life they gave that douchbag…..WHILE others are FIGHTING top fighters all year round and not getting anything in return, wondering if they will be cut after a loss. While Bisping is at B level at best fighter making a couple hundred K a fight now and sucks at doing it??? That is fucked up.
If he fought the level of competition that ANY other top 10 UFC MW has in the past 4 or 5 fights…Bisping wouldnt have a job. He would be begging M-1 or Strikeforce for a job fighting for 10k/10k

@fightfan – WORD bisping is garbage. But Dana is being a business man can’t really blame him. The fighters just need to be more aware of the business aspect so they don’t get taken advantage of.
I don’t think Marquardt should fight Henderson, I think they both deserve a title shot!
I think marquaradt and henderson should fight they both got their ass kicked by anderson before ,they are both at the top of the middle weight division.If they didnt fight who would deserve the fight?I think they both deserve a shot so its the only way to be fare to both fighters give only the best the shot,,
@fightfan – I agree with you that Bisping was never in Silva’s class or that he’s faced the top caliber competition that should warrant a title shot. But, the quickest way to a title shot is to beat someone like Henderson, and granted if he had done it, you’re right, it would’ve been a boring track race and Dan just not catching up with him. However, it’s no different with Dan’s fight with Rousimar Palhares, had Palhares came away with the victory, the UFC would’ve found another opponent for Silva which ain’t f*ing easy in the mw division.
Before Nate & Dans last k.o. victories, nobody wanted to see them in there again with Anderson, it was an absolutely “who cares” fight! I think it would build more interest if Dan & Nate did square off to see who would be next for the title. The only thing that bothers me about that, is that Dana clearly said Hendo was definitely next after he ko’ed Bisping.
But let’s not be hypocritical, who has Dan fought and beaten (as you say) to earn a title shot. A razor thin decision over Franklin, who Anderson completely destroyed twice. A very boring decision over Palhares which he didn’t engage with very much for fear of his top level jui jitsui, much like Bisping did with Hendo. And the man of the hour, your favorite fighter Bisping, who by all accounts, as well as your own, wasn’t even close to a top level fighter. Do you see the irony?!
What about Nate? After being dominated by Silva, he beat a way past his prime Horn, who I believe took the fight on short notice. He lost to Leites in a close decision. He beat a very good fighter in Kampmann. He beat Gouveia who wasn’t a top 10 fighter, and of course the 1 punch ko that sent Maia flying through the air!!!
While they both deserve title shots, I think it makes much more sense for them to fight one another before they step back in with the guy who’s already dominated both of them in the 1st & 2nd round respectivley.
As far as Eric’s comments, of course it’s about money, you make comments as if you’ve never had 1 business class in your life. You can’t sustain a business if you don’t make money, and you don’t make money if your product doesn’t sell. As great as Silva is, he’s not a big draw because of his domination over his opponents, and if he can’t sell tickets, he doesn’t get paid the money he deserves for being as great as he is. The UFC has to try and put together fights that will pay him the money he should be getting for being p4p best in the world, PERIOD!!! And a fight with douche bag Bisping in England would’ve paid him and other fighters what they deserve. If the UFC makes money, then they can pay the fighters what they are being paid now. It’s fair to say that if Bisping got past Dan, then he deserves a shot, even though it was a fairly easy road he’s taken, but Dan saw to it that wasn’t going to happen. The bottom line is that these fighters are paid and paid well, but if the UFC doesn’t make money, neither do the fighters. Be happy for the sport for where it is (thanks to the UFC) and be happy that the fighters are making a great living at it now.
