clubgp.com Said,
Gracie’s corner should be ashamed for his conditioning.
Wow, so much for the Gracie's making another resurgence, not only was his conditioning suspect, he just wasn't ready for the big stage. I don't blame Rolles so much as I blame his family, the stories are that they had to talk him into making the jump to the UFC, I believe he felt he wasn't ready yet, and it looks like Rolles was right. I'm sure he put in the work, but I think there was just too much pressure for him, representing his dad who was one of the greatest of all time, representing the Gracie name, and was thought to be the one to bring the families name back into the spot light. DAMN, WHAT NOW?!
Did none of you notice Rolles came very close to winning this by rear naked choke in the 1st. OK so he ran out of gas shortly after but if you’ve watched up-and-coming fighters before you’ll know that this happens quite often. I’m still gonna keep an eye out for Rolles coz if his conditioning and movement can be fixed he could still be a future contender.
Being a Gracie he has no excuse for that sorry attempt. BJJ practitioners should have much better cardio then that. He looks like he rolled out of bed after years of jelly rolls and twinkies and decided he had the skills to hang with the big boys.
any of you moaning about his cardio obviously aint a mma fighter i still get adrenaline dumps now but kno how to control them in high intensity fights now
Well, it looks like the UFC has dropped Rolles, so now he can work on his game without the pressures of the big lights, but at age 31 and his very awkward standup, he might be better suited to grappling matches.
Agree'd, he clearly had an Adrenaline dump. He's a Gracie, he can probably roll for 2 hours at a time with 30 second breaks. I didn't think he did too badly for the first 3 minutes, then he got messed up, should'a just worked more on that RNC.

February 8th, 2010 at 6:55 amHe is an embarrassment to the name! If he wants to fight again he should legally change his name.

The RNC was definitely there but he didn’t come close to sinking it.
