Oh yeah, the Axe Murderer does it again, almost ko'ed Douche Bag Bisping at the end, but as long as he got the victory, that's all that matters.
If he does fight Akiyama next, unfortunately Silva won't get the victory against him. I'm a huge fan of Wand, but if he fights tougher competition, it'll be hard to watch him get beat up or ko'ed like he did against Rampage. I'm glad fans around the world show their love for Silva, the crowd tonight was awsome.

February 21st, 2010 at 6:04 pmno offense but im willing to assume you dont get punched in the face while your applying your guillotines. hes an mma fighter not a gi on bjj guy his style is gonna be different and hes gonna make some mistakes. just like bisiping is a kickboxer but he threw 4-5 slow head kicks that would have been an easy takedown if taken advantage of (which wandy only did once he blocked the rest)

Wanderlei had more of an edge striking but Bisping's takedowns got him right up there points wise, the end of the 3rd round was what really won Wandy the victory, though to say he dominated the whole time is retarded.

February 21st, 2010 at 5:47 pmIf you're going by the numbers, Wandy was actually losing the stand up, as odd as it sounds. Bisping had more shots land, better accuracy, more and better takedowns. Wanderlei made up for it with his Ground and Pound, and his leg sweeps were basically takedowns themselves, but I think it came down to the guillotine in the second and the knockdown in the third. Bisping thinks Wandy stole the fight at the end of the third, but I think he did it in the second with the guillotine. If Bisping had completed the takedown w/o getting caught and just maintained ground control for those 10 seconds, I think he would have taken the second round, and thus the fight.

It sucks because he is the reason I dislike Brit fighters. Now that Rampage went to train with those "Mouths", I want Rashad to Knock Rampages fat head off!

Seriously, select the striking tab, then striking distance, and go through round by round. Bisping landed more power shots, more shots to the head, and more to the body. In every round. Also check out the takedown statistics. Five successful takedowns compared to Wanderlei's one. Wanderlei was applying the guillotine wrong, had it happened earlier in the round he might have blown his arms out trying to keep it, it wasn't tight enough to tap him due to the incorrect technique. Honestly, this fight was close. Bisping had better striking on his feet and better takedowns. Wanderlei had better aggression and explosive power. I think this really did come down to the knockdown and the guillotine.
