i got verbally abused by my boys when I said that Aldo is p4p better than Anderson Silva and GSP
Am I the only one that thinks this? I just feel that the way Aldo has been smashing people has been ridiculous! His finishes look like he's not even trying that hard… similar to how Anderson Silva used to do it.
AND he's only 24! It's gonna be scary when he gets to his prime!
Gamburyan didnt even come close to taking him down. And his quickness+powerful strikes makes it very deadly
He is just too dangerous to striker or grapplier opponent. great fight !
I'd say they're at the same level for sure. But to try & pick one is just going to end up in arguement because some may prefer Aldo, some may prefer Silva. Aldo definitely hasn't hit his peak though.
YES HE DOES WELCOME TO THE UFC ALDO BUT IF YOU LOOK AT THE REPLAY YA MANNY WAS DONE BUT HEY IF THERE WA S A GOOD REF IN THERE HE MIGHT HAVE STOPPED THE FIGHT DUE TO BLOWS TO THE BACK OF THE HEAD OR AT LEAST STOPPED AND GAVE MANNY A NOTHER SHOT AND POINTS DEDUCTED FROM ALDO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
actually, it's not. see, if it was pronounced "joe-se", then don't you think that aldo wouldve told the announcer? and yes, it IS the same announcer almost every time. i mean, if i was the world champion, i'm pretty sure i wouldn't like it if my name was repeatedly pronounced wrong. and i know what ur gonna say, "he doesn't speak much english, he doesn't know," well i'm pretty sure names are always the same. or his translator would tell him. there we have it.
also, if you're wondering why i'm putting such a big deal on this, its so that the guy "irrational rascist" looks, sees that someone else is already giving people a hard time, and won't start posting stupid bulshit on here.
Just to you know, i´m brazilian, i live in rio de janeiro, my name is JOSÉ Américo, and i train muay thai in the same gym Jose Aldo used to. Here in Brazil we speak portuguese e the J sounds like J and not like an R as if it were in spanish. Don´t blame me if you americans are stupid enough to think all america speaks spanish.
And i didn´t said Joe-se, i said Jose. And in the other side no, i don´t think Aldo would have told the announcer, for the truth is that he doesn´t give a shit about that. So, you see, names are not always the same as you think, they sound very different in each language, you would know that if could speak more than one. I speak four, just for the record.
You are not giving me a hard time, maybe a hard laugh, for you are making a fool of yourself thinking you are so smart.
And saying the name wrong it´s not a 'privilege' for Aldo, it happens with a lot of brazillian fighters, that get they name pronunced wrong by the announcer all the time. For me it just reflects the disrespectfull attitude that you showed towards me, that is so embebed in the american culture, for you guys thinks you are better than the rest of the world, but have no education.
Let´s see for example Anderson silva, for he is so famous.
You say in english "Enderson Silva", but his name pronnunced correctly is in brazilian portuguese "Anderson Silva" with an A. But thats a small mistake, there are others very worst, like the other day i saw the guy saying "Rousimar Paul-hares" . It´s Palhares, but i don´t know if you can understand that in english.
i didn't say the j was an r, i said it was like an h. and why exactly wouldn't he care, if he's the champ. also: we don't say enderson, we DO say anderson. i never said the word privilege. finally, how do WE even know that ur not just some puny kid whose trying to act tough on the internet? you know what? i'll bet you've never even been to the us. suck on that, beatch.
also, to corpsemolester, i've been wondering that too. if you hear anything, please keep us posted. thank you very much, you respectable person.
nah id say he is p4p the best, the very fact is BJJ is on another level, world champ anyone!!!, he has to be. His standup is Tysoneque with his aggression when he unleashes yet he's controlled like Fedor with emotions. The guy can literally bash your head and body into positions to make passin easier. P4P KING ID SAY!
1.H in brasil has no sound, if there was no 'R' it would sound at least for us here like 'ose'.
2. He wouldn´t care because he is humble, i know in usa you people think that if a person is the champion he can do anything, that´s not how we think in Brasil, we have different values and culture. He understands that he might be the champion today and tomorrow no more.
3. You do say 'enderson' from our point of view. First thing we learn here in english is that in america our 'a' sounds like our 'e'.
4. Didn´t understand the thing about the word privilege.
5. How do you know i´m not some puny kid whose trying to act tough on the internet? Because I´m not trying to act tough, you are. I´m not even a professional fighter. Are you? I´m trying to act logical.
6. Steping in the USA makes me a better person? Makes me more important? Didn´t get that. Or do i need to step in the US to learn english? Would´nt be i better suited if i tried to learn english in England for example, if that wore needed? You people are so egocentric, you think no other country then yours has value.
7. People who mistreat or offend others with no need have low self esteem and are nothing but insecure babies.
Amazing, Brazilians calling US idiots, stupid< and that they are superior but yet I get called the irrational racist. Irony is how many Brazilians made mistakes in their English while posting, but because we are ignorant and arrogant Americans a mistake in Aldo's name is an excuse to put uppity Americans in their place>
I cheer for white American wrestlers and I am a racist. Brazilians cheer for their own and yell "WAR BRAZIL" and they are better than us because we are just WWE fans that can't possibly understand MMA.
1. "Don´t blame me if you americans are stupid enough to think all america speaks spanish. "
All Americans (that is a capital A by the way), do no think exactly the same you biased Brazilian bigot
2. "there are others very worst"
Learn English. All Brazilians use that phrase incorrectly. You could say "there are others much worse". What you said was nonsense in English. We are all much worst offended by how you brutalize English than you are about how we may struggle with Portuguese.
3. "WAR BRAZIL! BBBBRRRAAAZZZZIILLLLL!!!! "
Brazilians are loud, obnoxious, bigoted, nationalists that think they are better than everyone else. They are especially vocal about telling Americans we can't fight and that our fans should watch the WWE. Without the U.S. BJJ would be as popular as Capoeira worldwide.
Anderson Silva is #1 p4p he has been dominating longer hes been champ for going on five years. I have Aldo ranked #2 he is amazing bring him 2 the ufc and let himm beat up bj, and edgar. Shogun is also a beast i want 2 see him fight silva, and dont forget about jon jones.
I think what the brazilian said above not reflect the felling of brazlian people. For sure we noutice when Americans pronnunced the name of our fighters wrong, but it is so stupid that we dont care. I undertand. Not only the americans pronnunced portuguese wrong, but all the world, one razon for is becouse portuguese its not a easy lenguage.
I say, brazilians dont have Racist thoughts and excuse my english
MMA fans = The most ingnorant fuckers on earth. I love the sport but hate the fans. First you have the douche bags in the arena booing in the first round which had the champ wobbled by a punch and four leg kicks landed on the challenger which almost dropped him. Plenty of action there for me. If you want an undisciplined brawl go to a tough man punkasses…. Then to make matters worse I come in here and get treated to some US vs. Brazil bullshit. If I see a great fighter that's what he's respected for. I don't give a shit if he's from Antarctica or if he speaks English or not. I don't save my cheers for the guy that's from where I am or get pissed if someone can't say his name right. You guys can't call yourselves fans if you lose sight of the most important thing which is the fights themselves. Language or ethnicity have no bearing on the makings of a great fight or MMA technician…
totally agree wit u!! the best fighters in the world have that mentality! vey shogun rua esque but alot more controlled and alot like anderson but seems to have more power at his size!
Great observations; Aldo had him but the 2 illegal blows to the medulla oblongata are what made Manny sleep. But you couldn’t possibly expect Dean to act in this instance. He typically misses so much that it's no surprise that he ordered Manny to continue despite Gamburyan having been poked in the eye as this too no doubt escaped his notice. Amazingly, many "fans" believe Herb dean is not only a good ref but the best. On the contrary, he plainly sucks and is so poor, he can't even hide his personal biases. I can only assume that he looks good because several other refs suck even worse, hard as that is to imagine (Mazzagatti, Mirgliotta, et al).
You really should ascertain the truth before you post; especially when you cop such a cocky attitude while spewing your ignorance. In Brazil, Portugese is the language that is spoken primarily. Unlike Spanish, in which the J is pronounced as the English 'H', in Portugese, the J is pronounced like an English 'J'. So Aldo's name is pronounced: "Jo-say". There could be many explanations as to the reason Aldo did not correct the mispronunciation. Here's some more Portugese for you (phonetic form of the phrase): Vee-uh-dee-no
son's got SKILLS…..!!!!
