Amazing fight, Griffin was definately impressive in this fight. Bad return for Tito.

Great fight, Forest definitely showed some improvement but I still think he doesn’t have knockout power (although Tito is nigh impossible to KO). I think Forest should ask Anderson Silva to be his new coach lol

Tito gave up the third round. He dominated the second round and I saw the first round going either way with arguments for both. It’s just odd how Tito had no gas but I guess that can be attributed to his ring rust. Good job for Forest to come back from the second. Either way this UFC I am still giving a B minus.
Was it just me or did Tito gassed out on the 3rd round? Either ways, Forrest’s great striking capitalized for his win. Bye bye Tito.

If anybody saw the video on here Friday night Tito blew up to 251lbs. after the weight ins . I’m glad Forrest won but Titos weight played a big part in this loss. But then we saw the real Tito “WA WA WA” I think it time for Randy VS Forrest now that would be a great fight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
he got those takedowns. but forrest defended much better. he got caught very few times with clean hits. that one cut him. but otherwise he seemed to outstrike tito.
that sweep in the second round helped too.
im no scoring expert, i expected forrest to lose this fight. but, he did seem to be the most consistant. good defense of the takedowns, and good defense on ground when he finally got taken down a few times. otherwise he was good to go. glad he won. get him off that losing streak.
Awww…poor Tito. Of course everyone gets hurt training for fights, but not everyone QQ’s about it like Tito. Nice of Forrest to stick up for him, but he deserved to get boo’d for being a dick and then a crybaby.
BTW, these judges are on crack. Sure it was a close fight, but Tito obviously dominated the 2nd round. No idea how that one judge gave Forrest Rnd 2. He took way too much punishment trying to get that sweep and didn’t dole out enough when he finally did get the sweep and got on top.

how any judge could of scored Tito winning and no judge scored Shogun beating Machida.
Staying on the topic tho I like how Forrest stepped in and talked for Tito classy move by Forrest he owed that to the fans for running out the ring when he loses.

Pretty good fight, just as I thought would happen, Tito just not having enough in the tank to compete with someone who’s been actively fighting. Griffin was just to much of a fighter for a Tito Ortiz that’s been out for a year and a half. Mark Coleman was the perfect return fight for Tito, but shit happens. Not too mention Coleman would’ve gave him a hard time as well and still would’ve went the distance.
Once again, something has to be done about these horrible judges, there’s no way in hell Tito didn’t win the 2nd round, obviously the 1st could’ve gone either way, and of course Tito had nothing left in the 3rd. But what does that say about Forrest who couldn’t finish a defenseless fighter who threw maybe 3 punches the whole round.

@Jennifer – Forrest does use his leg kicks, he just wasn’t able to use them against a superior standup fighter in Anderson Silva whose movement and hand speed was just too quick.
As far as against Tito, you don’t want to use your kicks alot and be predictable with someone who can take you down and is known for their ground and pound. Kicks make you vulnerable to the take down and I’m sure it was part of Forrests game plan to use less kicks in this fight.
Forrest was looking to standup and stop the takedowns and Tito was looking for Forrest to kick so that he could get the takedowns.

Tito will be back!!! The most entertaining and exciting MMA fighter of all time….PERIOD!!!! As much as it hurts to say it tho, dont think he can hang with the best in the UFC no more. Griffin is Average at best!!!

I heard Interviews with Ortiz and he thought he won the first two rounds. After watching the fight, I say “No Way”. Ortiz had a couple of good take-downs but was reversed on two of them. To me, that completely reverses the take-down point. The rest of the fight was obviously all Griffin. In fact, I don’t know how the one judge gave it to Ortiz.

Tito Ortiz was once a champ, but now is washed up. Forrest is a nice guy and a decent fighter, but any top contender would have demolished Tito in that third round. He was barely in the fight at all, I think bad breath could open up Forrest’s scar tissue so that isn’t saying much, it was an alright fight including alright fighters.
