James Toney and Dana White sat down after UFC 108. Toney is pressing Dana to join he UFC. Come on, is anyone really buying this? Does the UFC really need to bring in a pure boxer with zero ground game? Dana if you make this happen, it will be a freak show, no doubt about it. Dana, just tell James Toney to go away!
Dana White is a smart guy, so he goes into his boxing days in Boston, and how he knew he wasn’t a true fighter. Sounds like he is attempting to talk Toney out of wanting to join the UFC.

James Toney never fully dedicated himself to boxing, so why is he gonna do what it takes to be his best in MMA. Toney is 1 of the toughest SOB's you'll find in boxing, but he pissed away super stardom because he wasn't disciplined enough to stop EATING and now he wants to jump on the MMA bandwagon.
While Strikefarce would probably give Toney a shot because of his name, I hope he doesn't get signed to the UFC, but just like Herschel, people will watch and if he loses, then hopefully he'll be out for good. Scary Trend!!!!

Sign him to a three fight contract and put him against some entry level guys and see how he does just like everyone else who comes to the ufc.

To promote a fight just to earn mucho dinero is pointless and a big error, to my humble opinion. That is why boxing is fading away and I hope the UFC will not make the same mystakes.
I understand that this dude needs to bring bread and butter ( especially butter ) on his table, but come on…it's becoming Big Mac Circus outhere.
