November 22nd, 2009 at 12:44 amfuck josh !! he faked an eye poke and then poked anthony, and johnson , i believe if this wasnt such a sloppy fight and it was kept standing anthony would have knocked him out but josh got anthony out of his rhythm with the eye pokes aand took it to the ground and picked him apart, pre-emptive strike, i know u can see through this fight
November 22nd, 2009 at 12:45 amStupid ad made stopped the player and made me have to start all over.
November 22nd, 2009 at 1:43 ameyepoke shenanigans
November 22nd, 2009 at 1:47 amAlready knowing from Koscheck shady character, I thought Koscheck was milking as much as he can from the illegal kick. Turns out he faked that too. And then few more eye pokes and a well executed ground and pound and choke, great job Josh, you did it again!
November 22nd, 2009 at 4:41 amFuck Josh! Johnson defenitly the best fighter of the 2. Faker…
November 22nd, 2009 at 5:43 am….what the crap… koscheck…wth? johnson poked twice… wow.

November 22nd, 2009 at 2:02 pmKosheck was the best fighter period. This guy has a lot of talent and it will be great to see him fight against GSP.
November 22nd, 2009 at 2:22 pmjosh is a fucking pussy who should have been disqualified and fined $10,000 and then suspended for six months!!!!!!
November 22nd, 2009 at 3:10 pm@will – First of all, Josh Koscheck is the biggest f*ing piss poor acting drama “QUEEN” in all of MMA!!!! Not only did Johnsons knee completely miss his f*ing head, but it came nowhere near his eye, which by Josh’s reaction, you would’ve sworn he got poked in the eye with a cyringe full of hot acid. Are you f*king kidding me, that replay should be played all over the MMA internet world to show what a f*ing loser this guy is.
Koscheck was clearly hurt and in trouble before the knee incident, and was looking for a way out of a bad situation. He milked the fake knee/eye poke situation until he recovered and after the replay was played 10 times on the big screen showing the truth.
With all that being said Mr. WILL, if you recall, I had posted earlier that I didn’t think Johnson was mentally tough and someone like a Jon Fitch would test that charge. But it looks like Josh is the one who fully exposed it last night. Like I said, Anthony showed signs of this against his 1st fight against Kevin Burns. I felt Rumble might be one of those fighters similar to Melvin Guilard where if an opponent doesn’t succumb to their all out assault early on, they will eventually fold should the other fighter survive and turn the tables.
Quite frankly, Anthony folded like a cheap suit amidst the pressure of being on the big stage against his 1st top 10 opponent. There’s almost absolutely nothing Koscheck did to warrant Johnson to crumble as he did, meaning getting the beating of a lifetime. Josh’s brief ground and pound and the pressure of the moment, simply made Anthony wave the white flag of surrender. It almost looked like he handed that rear naked choke to Josh to end the fight.
And yes, I know Anthony was poked in the eye a couple of times (of course inadvertently), but he was given as much time as he needed to recover and it was him that said he was ready for the action to resume when it did.
Heart and intestinal fortitude are things you just can’t teach, you either have them or you don’t.
I think Rumble will be back and he’ll learn from this experience, but I do think the real tough opponents (more or less the top of the crop) that he can’t knock out early in the fight, he will continue to struggle with.
November 22nd, 2009 at 3:17 pm@PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKE – after skimming your post you obviously have no knowledge of what it is like to be in either of those guys situations and you are blind as well. You sound like a 6 year old with a 15 year olds vocabulary.
November 22nd, 2009 at 4:50 pm@ Simon `Said,
Who the hell are you, Mrs Koscheck?!?!?!
Does anyone know what it’s like to be in either of these guys situation, what an oblivious ass backwards statement, of course nobody knows but the fighters themselves. I’m commenting on what I seen in the video just like everyone else, and you can clearly see that nothing touched Joshs’ left eye even though he’s grabbing it as if it’s about to fall out of the damn socket. But I guess my blind ass is the only one who saw that, right?
6 year old with a 15 year olds vocabulary, what a powerful statement, I’ll try to make my next post atleast like a 16 year old wrote it, thanks for the critique.
November 22nd, 2009 at 5:17 pmJosh should be ashamed. ANYONE who saw that fight or the video can se that he was flat out faking it. The illeagal knee grazed his arm and did not come close to touching his head. I have always liked josh. But after seeing that BS last night I will always root against him from this point forward.
He faked it. He knows he did and so did Joe Rogan. But UFC being his employer he couldn’t say it. Even though he wanted to. Those of you out there trying to defend and make excuses for Josh. Go right ahead. You only show yourselves to be fake just like him.
He was hurt and he faked it to recover. The eye pokes happen in MMA. But the fight probably would have gone in a completely different direction had Josh not faked the eye injury. We will never know.
I can’t wait to see him get knocked out. The video does not lie!!!
November 22nd, 2009 at 6:34 pmYou all are retarded that said kos is a cheap fighter. I respect both fighters but josh won the fight fair and square. Josh has never been a dirty fighter, and he wasnt in this fight. How bout this one of you go in there and fight him and we will see who is milking an eye injury.
November 22nd, 2009 at 8:44 pm@Chris –
Typical response. Are you saying the video is lying? Stay on point. Its not about any of us that are calling him out for being a fake getting in the ring with him. It’s about one thing. He DID NOT get poked in the eye and the knee NEVER touched anything other than his arm.
November 22nd, 2009 at 8:48 pmI agree kos is a good fighter, but he was never kneed in the head. But he did get poked in the eye. So really all i can say is good fight kos cant wait to see you fight again.
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:22 pmYou are idioits to think he got poked in the eye or kneed in the head. Josh is a cheap fighter and always will be>
November 22nd, 2009 at 9:30 pmhey guys…watch right after the knee…from one angle it skims his right eye, but watch Johnson’s pinky right after accidently slip into his eye…it’s real, but i also think he probably played it up a lot…and the knee was still illegal even if it just grazed him or even just grazed his arm…
i like both Kos and Johnson….but either way you look at it, Kos got the W, and i think Anthony will be back stronger than ever next time…
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:29 pminto his left eye*
you can see it, i promise…it’s slight but it’s there…
November 22nd, 2009 at 11:32 pm03:18 … looks to me like it hit Josh’s eye. Just sayin’.
November 23rd, 2009 at 12:53 amDang!
November 23rd, 2009 at 12:54 amCorrection: I meant to say it his Josh’s /arm/ … 03:18
*sigh* 03:18 of the video
November 23rd, 2009 at 12:59 amPre-emptive: FWIW I became a Koscheck fan when he was in the house … my introduction to UFC.
Not no more. ’nuff said?
peace out
November 23rd, 2009 at 1:33 am@Ben, a fan – I can’t stand him because of his appearance in the Ultimate Fighter. If you recall, he was trying to be a bully alongside Bobby Southworth against Chris Leben. The two of them bullied Leben together, which Chris deserved because he was being a dick to others and you got to take it as well as you give it.
However, when Bobby left the show, as they did in the 1st season when you lost, Koscheck all of a sudden was completely intimidated by Leben when Southworth wasn’t there to help defend him. Since then I just considered him a little bitch ass.
November 23rd, 2009 at 5:04 amWow i hope Dan hardy fucking knocks kos ugly ass head of those shoulder of his.
November 23rd, 2009 at 6:27 amDammit this cheating ass MF needs to be put down bad.
MMA Should be taking on after match punishment, Anyone who watch just a litle MMA can see he milks every chanse he gets to catch his breath and always fight dirty.
Sorry for my rusty english. Love from Sweden
Man Kos played that fight to the “T”. Watch the vid and, like many have stated, Johnson’s knee didn’t come in contact with his nappy azz head. Also note which eye Kos was complaining about… his left not the right (which is where he was supposedly kneed). Kos don’t quite your day job and pray to God that MMA leagues don’t start using Instant Replay or you’ll be done son!
November 23rd, 2009 at 1:05 pmpre emtive strike or whatever your name is your an idiot and a scumbag iam sick of your posts f u c k off last time i checked joe rogan still has his job you dont have a clue go give your boyfriend a rub and tug and stopclogging up the server pre emptive strike gives reach arounds on sunset strip your a pre-op drag bag
November 23rd, 2009 at 1:50 pmwhether he got poked in the eye or not he still gets 5 mins to recover so it doesnt really matter if he was “faking” a eye injury or not. im glad that overweight douche got choked out. koscheck is the man
November 23rd, 2009 at 2:44 pm@ring piece soup – BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, thanks PEE SOUP for your infinite knowledge of MMA, your intriguing post has left a great impression on us all. Keep up the Pulitzer Prize winning journalism, it’s awsome!!!!
November 23rd, 2009 at 3:52 pm@ring piece soup –
November 23rd, 2009 at 7:02 pmWho they hell are you idiot josh is a bitch and always will be he is stating a fact.
So dont dog people just cause they are right.
I really would like to see a rematch. I think Josh was in real trouble and the fight could have been ended by AJ if Josh didn’t fake the eye. It pretty much killed AJ’s momentum (although, the knee was a bone-headed move on AJ’s part). Josh definitely won this match convincingly in the end, but I imagine if these guys fought again, the outcome would be different.
November 24th, 2009 at 12:06 amIf you look at the replay koscheck got poked BEFORE the knee, johnson poked him as he set the knee up it wasnt after the knee was when he got poked
November 24th, 2009 at 1:44 pmyah, I saw that too. his thumb poked him when he went to grab his head, before the knee. but he definately poked him back on purpose.
November 24th, 2009 at 3:40 pmWebster’s Dictionary:
November 24th, 2009 at 9:37 pmKoscheck – a trick
Four of the fight’s don’t work, still!!! What’s going on?
November 24th, 2009 at 10:45 pm@MMA-Hits -
you guys seem to be forgetting something….he was covering the wrong eye,,…..thats all im gonna say seems most of you guys never noticed the most crucial part of his horrible acting….with that said ill never post here again you people are not smart enough…..
November 25th, 2009 at 9:44 pmJoe Rogan was looking at and commenting on the wrong part of the video. The eye poke is with the thumb and happens a bit before the knee as Koschek is falling forwards, Anthony hits him in the left eye with his thumb.. He didn’t fake it. Y’all need to pay closer attention, and so does Joe.
November 26th, 2009 at 2:58 am@Maximus –
ummm…did you see the same fight i did….after the whole knee to the head when he was down..he was holding hsi head like he was hurt….then after you can see HIM LOOKING AT THE REPLAY and he sees what everyone else saw…the knee missed completly…you can see his oppenents thumb appear to swipe his RIGHT EYE…and the friggin guy starts to cover up his LEFT EYE…..oops…mistake on his part….did you not see his hand open up when he threw a punch at anthony….his whole hand opened up all fingers stretched like a manic….trained fighters dont throw open hand punches bud….break your fingers….unless perhaps your trying to poke an eye….all in all….koschek faked 2 injuries in that one period of time….told the doctor he couldnt see….seriously….watch the fight again…at least the replay….
November 26th, 2009 at 1:39 pmi have to admit all the speculation on all sides seems not surprising.
HOWEVER
these are the 2 best guys other than GSP so a rematch has gotta be the answer.
the fight was awesome except for the mishap/ misdoings.
I hate to say it but the ONLY ANWER IS DIQUALIFICATIONS.
They happen all too rarely and goldberg and Rogan alwaysd IMMEDIATLY SAY : “ACCIDENTAL OF COURSE.
LETS PUT IT THIS WAY : IF ONE TRAINS FOR OMNTHS WITH CERTAIN OPPONENTS AND CERTAIN RULES IN MIND… THEN THEY SHOULD BE EXPECTED TO OBEY THE RULES OR GET DISQUALIFIED – SIMPLE.
Still I respect these guys and would love to see a rematch.
AND YES, IT IS THAT EASY….
November 26th, 2009 at 2:06 pm\
ENFORCE THE RULES FOR 2 EVENTS AND SEE THE RESULTS
@Maximus – I now see the thumb that you and a few others are talking about. While it’s a nice argument to help Koschecks confused acting debut, the thumb never went into his eye. If you watch the replay very closely as everyone is trying to do, the only thing that caught him was Anthony’s finger grazed his right eyebrow.
If you watch it in slow motion (that’s the key), after the graze of his right eye, Koscheck partially closes his right eye, then starts to put his hand up towards the right eye, then starts to pull it away, then takes both of his hands and holds his head to try and validify the illegal knee that never landed.
All you have to do is ask this question, when every single fighter that has gotten poked in the eye, what does he do?!?!?
Every fighter will imediately grab the eye that they were poked in, just like Anthony did and just like every fighter has done that we’ve seen. It’s just so instinctive, we all would do that, the eye is such a sensitive and vulnerable area, there’s no confusion.
If you got poked in the eye, you would never not go to grab it, then pull back and grab your whole head, then a minute later start holding your left eye as if someone stabbed you with a pencil.
In his post fight interview with Ariel Helwani, Koscheck said that he would have to watch the replay to see what poked him in the eye, meaning he wasn’t sure if it was a finger or something else . . . . . PLEASE, when you get poked with a finger, you know it, quite frankly there’s not much else that can poke you in the eye that you don’t know what it was.
This scenario will only make sense if you watch it in slow motion for those who believe Koscheck was poked in the eye.
November 26th, 2009 at 2:07 pm@PRE-EMPTIVE STRIKE –
November 27th, 2009 at 11:20 amwell said sir….what do you think of koschecks b/s open handed punch to anthony? that seemed like he was def trying to poke some eyes…..
koscheck cant fight worth shit. hes a fucking baby, if he doesnt get his own way he will cry and bitch about it. what a fucking tool. my boy johnson, didnt even touch his fucking eye!!!!! then he pokes AJ in the damn eye twice on PURPOSE cuz he knows he will get his fake pretty boy jew fro ass kicked! in my opinion koscheck shouldnt even be a fighter he should stick sucking dick considering thats what his faggot ass is best at. I say they should have a FAIR rematch. so AJ can get his sweet sweet revenge!!!!!!!! KOSCHECK IS A FUCKING BITCH FACE HOMOSEXUAL!!!!!!!! anyone who thinks he is a fighter or for that matter even likes this douchebag should be shot! in the head! 4 times…..i hate josh i hope one day soon when im in the ufc i get the chance to fight him….and i’ll pound his fucking head in.
November 27th, 2009 at 6:37 pm@bman – Yo bman, let us know when you are in the organization, UFC I mean…
November 28th, 2009 at 3:30 pmHas anyone else noticed that Kos removed any negative post regarding his actions in the fight from his website? On top of that. He deleted any member from the site that made a negative or non supportive comment. So what he is saying is if you disagree with him in anyway. go away. As if that will make it all go away. Sorry Josh. Everyone saw it. It’s on video. That fight and your performance will be talked about forever. You are labeled as a cheating fake and to bad for you, you can’t delete all of these comments too.
November 30th, 2009 at 10:28 amGuys, the poke was before the knee. When Johnson went to grab his head to knee it he poked him and then knee’d him. It was accidental and Kos’s retaliation wasn’t but there was no acting involved. Can you people read? BEFORE THE KNEE.
December 2nd, 2009 at 2:51 pmyea its called mma not boxing for a reason. its not a boxing match. koschecks a beast
December 8th, 2009 at 3:58 pmHA!!! I know Anthony Johnson personally and have seen every one of his fights. Either way, both of them poking eyes and whatever, once Koscheck got him on the ground, Anthony got his azz beat. Nuff said.
January 24th, 2010 at 11:33 pmok it definitly lookd like the knee from all the other angles slipd under joshs arm and hit him in the eye all
February 16th, 2010 at 4:09 pmur a douch bag kocheck is obviously the better fighter
February 22nd, 2010 at 12:15 amKoscheck has been a douche since his appearance on TUF….always will be. Fortunately for him UFC doesnt judge character, see also: Brock Lesnar……lol
February 25th, 2010 at 8:16 pmdo not knee strike downed opponents!! what part of that doesnt anthony understand???? a graze by a knee to the eye can distort your vision!! ever have one dummy?
March 9th, 2010 at 4:08 pmif you were watching closely he knee's his arm and forces his bicep into his eye you fucking retard why do so many morons watch ufc? or mma for that fact. and yes getting knee'd in the arm forcing you're bicep into you're eye would fucking hurt you dumbass!
March 21st, 2010 at 6:32 pmhow was josh faking?? he got poked in the eye he never said that he got hit with the knee!! you bunch of retards, of course he didn't get hit with the knee he got poked.
April 28th, 2010 at 10:07 pmjosh is real dick and it shows in lack of sportsmanship. he knew he wasnt kneed in the head but took advantage of the situation and then went on to poke johnson twice in both eyes. no points were takin away from koscheck for that but one swipe and johnson gets a point taken off. the announcers even showed what happened.. this fight should be redone
July 1st, 2010 at 7:29 pmjosh koschek is good figher but he is such a asshole. he is a bully he ganged with bobby s. to bully leben on the tuf 1 . leben was acting like a jerk but it is still cowardly to gang up on one guy. hope gsp completely humilates josh and then knocks out josh in the fifth. gsp please break josh's nose.
July 6th, 2010 at 1:36 amtake a close look at koschecks 2nd "unintentional" eye poke.
