Last night after The Ultimate Fight Night 19 show, Nate Diaz, Jeremy Stevens, Nate Quarry, and Tim Credeur all received fight night bonuses of $30,000 for their performances.

Diaz earned “submission of the night,” Stevens earned “knockout of the night,” and Quarry and Credeur earned “fight of the night” bonuses.

Diaz sunk in a guillotine choke on his opponent, Melvin Guillard, in the second round forcing him to tap. The win extends his “fight night bonus” streak to 5 in a row.

He got fight of the night bonuses against Clay Guida at UFC 94, against Josh Neer at Ultimate Fight Night 15, and against Joe Stevenson at The Ultimate Fighter 9 Finale. He also got “submission of the night” bonus at Ultimate Fight Night 13 when he won a come-from-behind victory against Kurt Pellegrino.

In an un-aired preliminary bout, Stevens won “knockout of the night” for his first round TKO of Justin Buccholz, winning by a cut in the first-round. Luckily for him there were no other TKO’s on the card or he may not have won.

“Fight of the night” was rightfully awarded to the first aired fight of the night between Quarry and Credeur. This back-and-forth battle, which at points appeared to be happening under water, was not the most technical fighting but it was a very entertaining brawl.

Looking as if Quarry was going to be knocked out after eating flurries of punches from Credeur, a big swing changed everything and put Credeur on his back. Quarry without hesitation jumped into his guard and began to proceed with ground and pound. This same scenario happened a couple of times until the final bell rang, giving Quarry a unanimous decision victory.
