Conor McGregor Deletes Social Media Post About Bellator 187 Incident With Referee

UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor has found himself embroiled in another controversy, after creating chaos in the cage at Bellator 187 event in Dublin.

McGregor was present at Bellator 187 event to watch his friend and teammate Charlie Ward take on fellow Irishman John Redmond in his seventh professional MMA bout. He has now broken his silence regarding the event on Social Media and then swiftly deleted his post.

Notorious has not fought inside the Cage since knocking out Eddie Alvarez late last year to win the lightweight bout, but that didn’t stop him from getting into an unsanctioned bout over the weekend with referee Marc Goddard.

He invaded the cage following Ward’s knockout of Redmond at the end of the first round, the fight being stopped due to McGregor’s interference. Referee Goddard was heard to have declared that the “round was over,” not the fight itself.

UFC champion caused a chaotic scene slapping a Bellator official in the face who had tried to prevent his entry.

A screenshot of a Notorious now-deleted tweet regarding the controversy is available below. Check out the reactions to it and let us know what you think!
